In Year 9 all students continue their study of the ‘core’ academic subjects: English Language, English Literature, Maths, Science and Religious Education. Students will also study a further four subjects. Students are expected to maintain breadth in their curriculum to GCSE in order that they develop a range of knowledge and skills, avoiding specialisation too early. The vast majority of students study ten subjects in their academic curriculum.
